Spose my interest didn't go beyond the thread title. Slug guns are rare, from what I've seen. The only one that I know of production type is the Mossberg Slugster. That's one slick boom stick! Good luck!

I know it doesn't fit you are looking for but you should look at the savage 220. It shoots REALLY good groups and it's drilled and tapped for mounts without the cantilever mount.

If I was getting a dedicated slug gun I'd get an Browning Abolt they are pricy but great slug gun!

I have done some research and the savage 220 is the way to go. Use higher end shells and many recommend the 20 gauge over the 12 gauge. About $500 new. Good luck.
