Looking for a club in Walker/Fayette/Lamar/Marion/Pickens Counties that is overpopulated with deer. Has a distinct browse line by the end of December. Green fields are eaten down to the dirt by the end of deer season. A place where you see a ton of deer when you go hunting. Is not uncommon to see 10-15 on each hunt even if most are does. With a the only buck restriction being no killing of 1.5 year old bucks. Not concerned if any or very few really big bucks are killed. Also needs to have Camp house camper area, and 200 acres per member.

Sounds reasonable.

Other than the 200 ac/ member, it should be doable. After all, there are tons of people that shoot tons of does in the name of "overpopulation"

good luck finding this magical place but if you do I want the next spot open after you. ive talked to every person I know and searched the internet over posting on every site I come across looking for a great club around pickens or lamar count. im looking more for the bigger bucks harvested and just manage the does though but Im determined that I will find one but they are far and few between. established clubs like that don't usually search for members their memberships are locked in and already have waiting list for years waiting on someone to fall on hard times and not pay their dues.

also I like the low member/higher acreage ratio but with 200 acres per member you can expect dues to be 2500+ a year. ive found one that was around 150/member and felt like a kid at Christmas then I found out they didn't have turkey rights. so the search continues. but if you want the info on that club ill see if I can find it and get it to you

Mike why dont you go hunt Bankhead or Sam Murphy i been thinking about scouting Bankhead some myself . I love the Club I am in but if you can get a couple different places to go it changes the scenery some and those areas have some huge bucks if you do your homework .

Maybe huge bucks, but not plentiful...

Bankhead is a beautiful place and walked over a whole lot of it a few years back for 5-6 years behind a squirrel dog and had a lot of fun and killed a truck load of squirrels but the deer density there is to low for me to enjoy deer hunting there.
