About to head out on the last day of the Choccolocco Zone A gun hunt. Talked myself out of carrying a tree stand but I'll be slipping around this morning to see if I can catch one in the wrong place at the wrong time. Good luck to everyone. Headed to club here in a minute. Man it's warm this morning. I think I may kill a sow that's been giving me the slip all bow season. I have 3 deer in the freezer so I'm not anxious about killing one, but if Mr. Big comes by me he can ride in the truck too.

Riding the oak boat about 20 ft up here in southeast Madison Cty. I'm in a small woodlot hoping to catch an ol nannerhead feeding through this morning. Wind is blowing about 12-15 mph. Switching from Southwest to northwest and back. Front should be moving through in a couple hours, deer should be up feeding this morning.

Checking in. Settled in a shooting house on a big plot with new cutover in front and right, SMZ to the left and rear with a year or 2 old thick cutover on the other side of it. Passed a nanner head slipping down this way when I was driving in too. Good luck and be safe.

Just got settled on top of a hardwood ridge where I see deer almost every hunt. The wife's grandmother wants some meat so maybe one will slip through here. Good luck guys.

Just climbed into a shooting house overlooking a plot and 20 acre cutover. Walked a mile on logging roads to get here and haven't seen the first fresh track. Doesn't look like they have moved much since the rain yesterday

Hunting family land that's only hunted on holidays. I've seen 14 so far. Amazing how deer act that are not pressured very much.

Hunting a clearcut in houston county. Saw a as spike and doe at dawn. Mosquitoes are about to drive me nuts. Worst possible weather to enjoy a deer hunt.

I was skunked this morning. Found a few scrapes that look like they were worked last night. Only heard one shot so seems like the wind had them locked down. I'll be going to hang a stand later in hopes that tomorrow morning they'll be on their feet.

Got skunked this morning as well. Didn't hear a single shot. Jumped a couple while scouting a spot to climb.
Now sitting on a huge year old cutover with the wind in my face. Hoping to see something moving in this stuff feeling safe. I can see farther than my 1000 yard leupold rangefinder can read. Got the binoculars ready to do work after I hit submit. Good luck everyone.
