 Would your buddy happen to be someone I work with? Edit... Got to be. That's one of my strings on that bow.  Edit again.... Just got a text from him and it was. I'm going to give him holy hell about missing at work in the morning if he's there.

It takes some damn talent to shoot at a 6pt and have your arrow hit the deer's leg sideway's.  Sounds like the back end of that arrow split when he released it.
