I pulled the cards today on the feeder I put apple corn in a while back on you guy's recommendation. Have had all does except for one 4 point all summer. The feeder has had the apple corn in in for about a month now. There were 9 different bucks on the card, plus saw a 7 in daylight today. Numerous does, An 8, 7, 2 6s, 3 4's, 3, and a big guy that only had one antler with 4 points. Don't know if it's the corn, but I have seen more bucks in the last 7 days than I have seen since we bought the house in March. The corn is the only thing we've changed. What's crazy is all the activity has been in the last week. Weather is starting to cool off a little, them moving more may be helping as well. Anyone that thinks the apple corn spooks them, Ill send em a pic with 3 bucks standing under the feeder together. I know I'm sold on it.

For the most part I've had equal success with reg. corn vs. apple corn. Only reason I bought it was b/c it's a good deal at Wally world and convenient on late trips to the farm.

That being said I did have one spot where I was getting pics of 5 different pretty good bucks with regular corn. Since I put out the apple corn I've only gotten a few pics of one of them. Pretty unusual this time of year to get pics of a bachelor group for several weeks and then, poof, they are gone. Can't help but think it could be the apple corn... Either way I don't think one is really better than the other.

I am gonna let yall in on a little secret.....

Not all apple flavoring is the same!

There are several different varieties. Plus, some has sweeteners added and some doesn't. There is one that is highly preferred over the others.

I'm no deer and I can smell the stuff from 50 yards away. Don't know if it's the apple flavor they like or if the smell just lets em find it quicker. I can't put the stuff out quick enough and it's gone.

It has been sampled and now ordered. It won't be long now....

I had NO idea how many different 'flavors' there were!
