Phil Army, you're always throwing stuff out there downing Auburn. You throw mud against Auburn just to see what sticks. If you state something against Auburn, you should, for your own validity and integrity, at least make sure that it is true. I respect the University of Alabama. Some of its fans, not so much. But the institution; the coaching staff, etc... "some" of its fans, nope! You can hate Auburn all you want as I don't care but don't lie about Auburn. Auburn ain't goin' away and Auburn will roll in the Bryant-Denny this fall and I truly believe Auburn will roll out a winner. But here's the difference: I call it like it is without disrespecting Bama. And if I though Auburn would lose, then I'd say it. Anyway, here ya go... Phil Army said: The best part of FSU winning is that they figured out how to shut down Auburn's offense. They looked good in the first half, but FSU completely shut them down in the second half. Now that its been figured out, every other team can use that same game plan.Phil said: "FSU shut down Auburn's offense." ? " FSU completely shut them down in the 2nd half."Really Phil? Let's look at Auburn's stats against FSU broken down by halves as pulled from the B'ham News. Auburn Stats. And I just used Auburn's stats as if I'd used FSU's too, it would prove that AU beat FSU in every stat possible but passing (FSU beat AU by 20 yds in passing) which included 3rd down conversions. Total Yds 1st Half - 232 Total Yds 2nd Half - 217 Difference of 15 yds?!?!?!? Total Rush Yds 1st Half - 119 Same as above 2nd Half - 113 Difference of 6 yds?!?!? Total Passing difference was -9 yards Total TOP 1st Half 16:50 Same as above 2nd Half 16:91 Opps. Thanks Ben2. Correct count is 16.51 An INCREASE of one second. Now, in points, yes AU scored 10 pts in the 2nd half as compare to 21 in the 1st half but offensive production in rushing, passing and TOP was basically the same between the two halves. Phil, you also focused on Auburn's recent claim of past National Titles and made very hypocritical remarks. But you probably don't know UA's past. But anyway, by your own 1983 Media Guide, you claimed six nattys. I am not sure when UA started claiming 1925, '26, '30, '34, & '41 but you certainly weren't claiming them in 1983!!!!! Phil, let's talk about who OWNS UA in its backyard of Bryant-Denny? IN Tuscaloosa?? It's Auburn!! AU has played in T'loosa nine (9) times and walked away victorious SEVEN (7) times. Seven times out of nine Auburn's beaten Bama IN T'loosa. Let's hurt you feelings again!!! Let's look at how many times UA has played at Jordan-Hare. Well, the Tide has played in Auburn a total of 12 times and Auburn has won eight (8) of them!!!! The Tide has played 12 times in Auburn and only won four times! So, Auburn owns the Tide in Tuscaloosa AND Auburn. Dynasty over Auburn? Hardly! Ya know... I didn't disrespect the Tide or T'loosa by spelling names wrong or disparage The University of Alabama in any way nor did I attempt to make UA look bad as you Phil, do that enough as it is. WDE! I'll say this: Heck yeah, the Tide has been dominating and they have had some awesome teams. I can't go back further than the 70's but I think they deserve every title they've been awarded since the 70's. I guess even 1961 but before that, claiming Natty's is a PR move AS IS AUBURN'S claiming victories. I used to think Saban was the best coach in the history of college football and right now, I'd award him of that but I love Coach Gus... so we'll see what he continues to do. If the Tide wins this year, I will tip my hat to them and to any reasonable and non-delusional fan on here.

1) Bama has 3 National Championships in the last 5 years
2) Bama has played in the National Championship game 3 times in the last 5 years and won all 3 times, including a shutout against LSU and a complete domination of Notre Dame. Bama beat Auburn all 3 of those years including a 49-0 win and a 36-0 win
3) We've won more National Championships in the last 5 years than Auburn has in its entire school history. You can't dispute those 3 even if you threw out the other 12 that we claim
4) Auburn beat Bama 6 years in a row when Bama was at its lowest point in school history and on probation. Auburn still has ZERO National Championships to show for during that 6 year period

Saban has brought Bama, for the most part, dominance. But Phil, you need to be worried about Auburn. We comin'!! And, we ain't goin' away. And.... Coach Gus may become the big man in the state. And, btw, those shut outs were some of our worst years. I like our chances this year in beating Bama but it will be a battle. In the end, Auburn will NEVER bow to Bama. Never! WDE!

For the money that Bama has in their football program, you should be pissed that they don't win it all every year.

It's awesome that auburn fans think that 11-2 is substandard for Bammer.
Bucktrot, while you are telling Phil that he shouldn't say anything that isn't true or couldn't be backed up, take a few minutes and tell burbank the same thing.

Brent, I don't come to this forum of aldeer as I normally get pissed about the disrespect shown to Auburn so I don't see too much of what's said here. I don't see a lot of reasonable discussion without the name calling and put-downs on this forum so I stay away.
My post are too long and I just erased a long response so I'm going to attempt to say it quickly.
I'm not a Bama fan HOWEVER, I respect Bama's winning. I'm not a Saban fan HOWEVER, I respect his winning and coaching. Bama claimed 5 questionable nattys in the 20's-40"s. Auburn is doing the same thing... yes I know but hey, don't point fingers.
Auburn's winning last year was not all luck and no more luck than Cody blocking that field goal against TN that year. Iron Bowl - Statistically speaking.. other than passing, which Bama made up the difference with that one long pass play, Auburn held its own and rushed for more yards than Bama and stuffed Bama when it needed to. UGA - we whipped their ass for 3 and 1/2 qrts but hey, luck is needed sometimes. And FSU got all they wanted in Pasadena.
Gus' offense is not gimmick. It's a fast-paced option offense and no different with what Bama won nattys in the 70's with its wishbone offense.
Bama's players beat up fellow students and took their credit cards! We did the same only we used a gun to do it.
I don't throw stones and I am not delusional. But I grit my teeth when I say this... I want to beat Bama's ass in Tuscaloosa so badly I can't stand it! But if we lose... I won't make excuses.

For the money that Bama has in their football program, you should be pissed that they don't win it all every year. Dang straight. Being an Alabama fan is kind of like flying to Vegas; going into a casino; sitting down at a blackjack table; and pulling for the dealer/casino to win. Might as well be a Yankees fan. Auburn's winning last year was not all luck and no more luck than Cody blocking that field goal against TN that year. Good comparison. And he didn't just block one field goal in that game as I recall. Of course when bama wins due to an unusual play like that it's just because they are good. No luck involved then. With Auburn of course it's luck. To listen to some bama fans talk you would think it was 28 to 7 in bama's favor with one second to go in the last Iron Bowl and then Auburn ran the failed field goal attempt back and got awarded 27 points for it rather than the regular 6. Here's a news flash, "THE GAME WAS TIED". Alabama had not dominated up until that point nor had Auburn. None of Auburns previous points were a fluke either. And Auburns last touchdown was no more a fluke than the long TD pass that Alabama scored on.

Y'all said the same thing about Chizik, look how that turned out!!!! 3 head coaches at Auburn since Saban arrived, apparently y'all are the ones that can't take the heat of "sub-standard seasons" as one extremely uninformed Barner put it. Tuberville, Chizik, and Malzahn have one victory each against Bama. And AU is dominant?? And the only championship y'all have is tainted because of Scam Newton and everybody in the country knows what happened there. 1) Bama has 3 National Championships in the last 5 years.
2) Bama has played in the National Championship game 3 times in the last 5 years and won all 3 times, including a shutout against LSU and a complete domination of Notre Dame. Bama beat Auburn all 3 of those years including a 49-0 win and a 36-0 win

Bama fans don't need go down this path. It's like a member of the Gambino crime family chastising you for jaywalking. I'll spot you Cam if you can explain how Trent Richardson's mother could afford the 450,000 dollar home she was living in while he played football at Alabama. Trust me. This is a scab you don't want to pick because bama is just as covered in sores as anybody else.

Maybe Bucktrot you could show the stats on OK vs bama that would show who owned who in the sugar bowl. Those stats would show that Bama outgained Oklahoma by almost 100 yards. What's the point here? Might want to research a little before making silly statements.

The stats only matter when we're talking FSU vs Auburn. Other than that game, the scoreboard is what matters. Signed, Hypocritical AU Fans Everywhere Maybe Bucktrot you could show the stats on OK vs bama that would show who owned who in the sugar bowl.
