I missed the Tacoma part, he is running that size now, but a 10 ply tire.

What size? If it isn't odd ball I'd get Mastercraft Courser CT. We ran a lot of them at work and were better than the 2 you mentioned.

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know what a decent set of 285/75/16 All Terrain tires cost? I need some this size for my hunting truck. I would be willing to buy a used set in decent shape if the price is right. Is there anywhere in Birmingham that sells decent used tires at a fair price? You might not have meant to but you did a pretty good job of it. Yep let's get back to your original topic. I used to run the BFG A/Ts and they always seemed to hold up pretty well. I did some light towing and rotated them pretty regular and could get about 45-50K out of a set. From what I've read here and on other sites the BFGs have gone up in price and down in quality. Not sure about Nitto. I know they are popular but I assume that is because of their price.

If you're not trying to do anything too serious offroad then you can't beat the nitto terra grapplers. I had the BFG A/T's before the Nitto's and I've already got over ten thousand miles more on the Nittos than I did the BFG's when they wore out and I'd say the Nittos still have 35-40% left.

I used to buy only Michelin or BFG, but I love my new Firestones. Got em in November and can put about 6000 miles on em so far. Best tires I've ever had.

Been running Bridgestone Duelers but they don't make them in my size anymore, good tires. Just bought a set of Kumho Road Venture's from Tire Rack. I bought a set of wheels and tires from a buddy of mine for my truck. The tires are 305-55-20 nitto terra grapplers. The tires had about 10k miles on them when I got them and the tread still looks good. They ride smooth with no road noise. I have no clue how long they will last in the long run but so far I like them.

I put on a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers about 7,000 miles ago. Zero complaints so far. Great on the highway and handled club roads just fine in the mud and rocks.

Not a fan of BFG tires. Never got good wear life from them. No experience with Nitto.
I will say that I now have Cooper Zeon LTZ on my F150 and Cooper A/T 3 on my wife's SUV. Absolutely love both of these tires. Cooper is a great tire.

I have a set of GoodYear Wrangler AT on my GMC 4x4. I have 113,500 miles on them with still a few more miles of treadwear left. I'm gonna replace these tires with the same thing.

Goodyear Duratracs on the Raptor and I love them. A lot better ride than the BFGs it came with.

 These tires are the bomb if you like BFG KO's but don't like the price. They are 30% cheaper and a much better tire. General Grabber AT2

My BFG TA KO's have less than 30K miles on them, have been rotated & balanced every 3K miles and they are WORN OUT!
I'll never buy another set of them.
Probably going to a Cooper, General or back to Michelin's when I buy again.

I got 60K out of my Terra Grabblers. I just put 275/65/20 Trail Grabblers on my F150.
