I pulled the trigger twice this year (while hunting) and killed 2 does.

I have to admit the beginning of archery season left me very discouraged. Last year I was 8 for 9 with a bow. Number 9 is dead, and I'm certain she would have been recovered if certain events wouldn't have prevented it. This year I bought a new Alphamax and I'm 2 for 6. That is terrible. I know it's terrible, and nobody else needs to tell me how terrible it is. Once I missed my second deer with my new bow it became a mental confidence game, which spiraled downward. I finally quit going until muzzleloader season opened. I've killed 6 with the MZ and 5 with the .243. I've missed 0. I need to build back my confidence with the bow, but if I put crosshairs on a live target, it's in trouble.

well ,, at one time i could have answered that question to exact times i missed but my dairies/logs what ever you want to call them got throwed away . after that i said to heck with it .

i've missed a few times over the years don't know how many but it been few . course i have killed a whole lot ah deer over the years . lol

i have lost a couple of deer too .

one thing for sure , you ain't killing nothing if the trigger ain't getting pulled . lol

but i don't remember the last time i missed a deer ? i remember the deer just can't remember the year

First year hunting with my recurve instead of my longbow. I killed 3 and shot one through the hips that just walked off and I saw her a week later but couldn't get another shot at her. Might go back to the longbow next year.

i missed 1 with bow, my muzzie mis-fired causing a miss, 3/3 with my trusty a-bolt 30-06.

shot a doe on last sunday and hit her low. all i hit was top portion of front leg, no body. pretty much amputated the leg. she went maybe 20 yards. i was suprised that shot took her down so quick. i've had double lungshot deer go further on me. she didn't bleed much in first step or 2, then it was gushing.

I missed on openning day of gun season at Hollins at a nice buck that was in high gear.I refrained from shooting at running deer the rest of the season and have not missed since.

I've pulled the trigger 4 times this season. The results are 1 dead 7 point, 1 dead 6 point, 1 dead coyote, and 1 8 point still walking around.

That last miss still eats at me. He was running and I was shooting off handed but that's still no excuse. I just jerked the trigger plain and simple. Dammit!

Only deer I have missed in many, many years other than a scope malfunction three years ago, but I did hit that deer on the first shot so I guess it don't count).
