Out shot the mag blends in both my guns today.Super X2 with an Indian Creek .665 and a BPS with the same choke. I'm not knocking the loads or manufacturer just stating what patterned best with this set up.

Don't know why but I have always been open minded and willing to try new innovations to increase the quality of my pattern. The BPS was super tight at forty and I'm gonna have to draw a fine bead in close.

its all about the buffer in that load, in most cases harder pellets such as steel tss and hevie shot will pattern tighter than lead.

Funny thing... Patterned a bunch of turkey guns/chokes/rounds today.
The three top dogs are Federal 3"/2 oz., Long Beards and, surprisingly, Estate turkey rounds (at $8/box of 10!).
Diff guns/chokes had specific preferences, and the LBs did do as well or better across the board, but the other two went neck and neck, depending on gun/choke combo.
At the end of the day, I would probably go with any of the three in any gun/choke combo and fell real good about cleanly killing a turkey.

WONDER IF ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE LEAD AND COMPRESS BETTER THEN HEVI-SHOT?? No. It's because they are buffered in a way that keeps the lead from compressing and deforming. At least that's part of it.

The long beards and the mag blends were close to the same out of my SBE 2, but I'm going with the if it ain't broke don't fix approach and am just gonna stick with my mag blends until I run out. The long beards IMO are the best lead load out there though and I wouldn't hesitate to shoot them if I forgot my mag blends at the house. I just acquired a little mossy 20 gauge though and I'm quickly trying to get it setup for this turkey season. I'll probably being shooting either heavy #7s or mag blends out of it.
We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

They shot good outta my SBE2 but not quite as good as Mag Blend, I'm sticking with Mag Blend until I run out an then I may go to the Winchesters unless the price shoots up because of all the good reviews

Everytime someone mentions a 20 ga I have to throw in my two cents cause I'm so proud of my little gun so here it is! My mossberg youth model will throw 138 in a 8.5 x11 at 40 yds. I'm shooting a 26" barrel, undertaker choke and #7 hvy weight. It's a a fun gun to shoot so good luck with yours.
