I've got a couple of cameras set up on a clear cut rd.
I get about 2000 pictures of pines blowing in the wind.
Any suggestions other than finding a spot with mature tree that don't blow in the wind?

Set your camera for low sensitivty is one option if your camera will allow you to.

Place it in a higher spot and aim it down some. That will get MOST of the waving part of the tree out of the camera's view.
On a related note, I did this on a camera site but not intenionally. I put out the corn, then realized the camera strap was JUST short of going all the way around the trunk. I had to stand on my tip toes and put it just as high as i could get.
The resulting pictures looked like the camera was 20' up the tree, instead of the 7' or so it really was. No idea why that was.

put it on a fence post and trim all limbs that are in plain view

I don't think the camera is on a little pine blowing in the wind. The little pines are causing it to take a pic.
Coe - is this correct?

If it has an aim light, play with it on a windy day and watch the trigger light.

honestly it's probably both, all the pines are fairly small. I guess maybe mounting it on a t-post might help, but he small pines across the road are still going to trigger it.

I don't know if any of you own one or not, but the Moultrie MLB-800 Blackout (no glow) that they have exclusively at Dick's seems to be a giant POS. My buddy has 2 of them and they both take an ungodly number of pics of absolutely nothing. We left 2 of them out for 2 weeks and had 3400 pics on one and 6500 pics on the other. Both were watching mineral sites and the overwhelming majority of the pics had nothing in them. I think it takes pics of shadows or triggers at the slightest breeze of blade of grass moving. They are a giant pain in the arse. I've got one of them at home now set up in my garage pointed at a wall where there will be no movement at all just to test it. I think it takes a 2 shot burst at whatever delay interval it is set to (10 sec, 30 sec, etc...). Hope to figure it out after testing a while.
