for deer ???? never shot one or been around anyone who has .what do y'all think ?

I'd prefer a .308 personally. A .243 will kill Any deer as long as you place your shot in a vital zone.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

i used to have one and shot deer with the 95gr ballistic silvertips anywhere from the guts to the neck...most shots were bang flop..killed i thinkg 13 or 14 with it and only remember two of them running off and both of them were double lunged that i found within 50yrds...most were shoulder shots and were bang flop..the one i shot in the shoulder with the federal premium btsp ran bout 100yrds with no bloodtrail.i dnt care for the ballistic silvertips, but if i shot a 243 id highly recomend them

My 13 year old daughter shot a doe at 95 yards, bang flop and a 6 point at 205 yards as a bang flop. Yep, I would use one if she would let me borrow it!

Same results on probably 20 deer with same ammo in the .243 I used to hunt with. I shot 2 deer straight on and found the bullet jacket back at the hip joint in both. The shot stood them up on their back legs and they just fell dead.No way that particular load could be improved.

idk what it is...ive shot those ballistic silvertips in other calibers and they didnt do the work that those 95gr ones will do out of a 243.. it's odd
