I've got the perfect truck for your project. It's a 1989 short wheelbase 4x4. It's been old schooled. I put a 351w in it with aluminum intake and a 600 holley. Unfortunately, it was parked down hill while I was at work in a 12 hour bad rain storm and water leaked in past a bad header gasket. Well, to make a long story short, when I started it up, it made a rod look like a bent elbow. It's been sitting for 5 years because I'm retired and couldn't afford to pay somebody to fix it and I'm not in good enough shape to do it again myself. Most of the parts are still good and stored in a buddy's shop. I'll take $2000 with what's left of the parts or $1500 without.

I've got an 86 Toyota regular cab, 4 cyl, 5 speed 4x4 that I'm getting ready to sell. It's a rough ol truck, but most everything has been done to it mechanically to make it right. Runs great and has heat which is all that mattered to me...when I had a place to use it.

Man do I have a deal for you! And this baby will scream. This is a deer killin machine! I can visualize a 186' 26pt strapped to the hood. Its powered by a mazda B2400 motor. I had a trade working for a 2014 king ranch F-250 but the guy couldnt produce the additional $2500 to make it an even deal. Make me an offer..... grin

Unless it has been converted, 86 was the first year to have ifs, if you want straight axle you need an 85 or older.

Dogs I can find out. I was being silly posting it but it does belong to a buddy of mine in Hayden. It is for sale but he has to put an alternator on. Once he does that he's going to ask $450 for it. Not sure what it would be good for other than just having fun around the farm but he said it runs great. I'll find out about the tires for you.

I made some similar gems growing up. A 12yo with a shop full of tools learning how to weld is interesting for sure. I wish cameras were so common back then. grin
