What is the weirdest thing you ever saw a deer do? Last season i had 1lb propane bottle leaking and tossed it out the window of my shooting house. 20 min. Later i heard something walking under the stand. A large mature doe was "booting" that bottle and kicking at it. She knocked it around for 20 yards. One other time why hunting squirrels with my son i had a small 8 walk up and we yelled and slapped cussed for 10 min and it never spooked

Couple years back saw a buck destroy a Rinehart deer target..... pieces were everywhere. That was more neat than anything....

A couple years ago i was hunting a big hardwood draw. A yearling came booking by like the devil was behind it. A few min later it came walkin by like nothing in the world was wrong. All the sudden, it starts running in big circles, then back to normal. It did this for a couple hours.

Had a buck snort wheeze at me so I did it back. Mind you it was after shooting light and it started coming towards me so quick I shot my pistol in the ground. It followed me until I turned my lights on in my jeep

I shot a doe at about 15 yards with a rifle and one of her friends that was there with her stepped right where she was standing and looked at me for 10 to 15 seconds. I put my scope on her but let her walk.

A couple of weeks ago I watched a doe skid across a frozen creek for about 15 yards, then nail a cypress tree. I thought she was dead. But she got up a walked off slowly

Not the 'weirdest' thing....
But, the bucks Seth and I killed this year live in a swamp and were pretty consistent coming to the fields/feed stations all Summer and Fall. But, I just could not really find 'that spot' to kill them in their travels. UNTIL I stumbled up on their trail! They were swimming a BIG lake and then feeding under some huge water oaks along a low ridge on the way to the hills/fields. Literally swimming 300 yds plus from shore to shore of wide open water! Got set up on them in a pinch point not far from where they came out of he water and only went in on the right wind......and by boat then. You could hear them in the water and they would come through the woods shaking off with water spraying off them when they would shake. Never mattered how cold or anything. Even saw some with ice on them!!!
Pretty neat!

Had a doe jump about 2 feet in the air like she had bitten into a briar. turned around and went back to eating in the same spot.
