That's a hoss. Looks like it was killed in Dallas county or Hayneville which is Lowndes. Big deer in that White Hall, Collirene, Hayneville triangle.

Its my first season Hunting and i was pumped when i killed a basket 8, i couldnt begin to imagine if that joker was in my scope.

That things ugly, but I would have shot it. Thats what I was thinking. Fugly som beotch if you ask me. Still, I bet the price of Yeomen property just went up, especially since a 151" was killed there last season.

Congrats to the hunter.
Did any of ya'll read the comments on that article? That guy is getting slammed. I'm not certain I would want an article written on any deer I kill, for that very reason.

Did any of ya'll read the comments on that article? That guy is getting slammed. I'm not certain I would want an article written on any deer I kill, for that very reason. Clem put me in an article about hog hunting a few years ago. I actually got calls my office telling me what a bad person I was and that should be hunted down and shot like the hogs.

No surprise about comments on there. Animal-rights anti-gun/hunting leadership in that company. They have begun a weekly "animal" story to help "rescue animals find forever homes."
Hunting - Billions in money to the state but from evil scary gun-toting hunters
Animal Rights - Feel-good Clicks/Ratings among declining readership and cute photos of doggies and cats and horseys
They don't give two chits about the responses, either. More responses in their feedback section just gives that company's leadership a big jolt of adrenaline so they can pump up numbers to present to advertisers.
You guys going to that site are feeding the beast.

We used to hunt around mosses down there some huge deer. My uncle was In a club down that way for years I think the town is called braggs. They always killed some monsters I miss it down there

We used to hunt around mosses down there some huge deer. My uncle was In a club down that way for years I think the town is called braggs. They always killed some monsters I miss it down there We hunted down 21 from Braggs in Furman. I sure miss that place also. My best deer came from there.

There are some huge deer in those swamps around Mosses Or in Lowndes Period. You just never know when they will just appear out of that thick stuff.

Clem, I understand your view of al.com and feel much the same way, but didn't most of the newspapers you worked for have the same anti gun or anti hunting agenda at their core? Isn't al.com owned by the same company that owned all the major newspapers in the state at one time? They put in a few hunting articles yet 90 percent of the other articles about guns or animals paint them in a bad light in one way or another. All of the media, both electronic and print has done that for as long as I remember. They are almost all owned by liberal leaning, anti gun animal rights supporters. Where do you suggest we get our news or outdoor stories that don't support these negative causes at least at the parent company level?

Unfortunately, yes ... anti-gun more than anything. Of more than 100 people in the newsroom I worked in, only one hunted or shot guns regularly and maybe a couple fished. That was it.
As for sourcing, it's just like searching for other businesses that aren't anti-gun/hunting. Gotta look for the local dailies or weeklies. They may be few and far between but they're the ones who know Billy's Outdoors & Feed Mill advertises regularly, the "big buck contest" is well-read and those photos of Jimmy with the big catfish in summer get a lot of attention.
I'll go without knowing before clicking on that website, though.
