Can anyone here tell me the difference between these two (other than that the blackhawk comes in .45). I am going to get a 44 mag so that doesn't matter to me. i am going to primarily use for hunting. i like the bisley grip. i do not intend to put a scope on it. i actually like the looks of the bisley blackhawk better than the bisley hunter super blackhawk but it seems like the super blackhawk may be designed for the 44 and therefore a better fit for hunting. can anyone help me out here?

I don't know if I can be much help but I was recently in the same boat as you. I decided to get the Bisley Hunter in the Super Blackhawk. At least that way I had the option to put a scope on it or not. It comes with rings which is nice. I went ahead and put a scope on right away. I have yet to shoot at any game but hopefully soon. One con(somewhat) is that with a scope there are VERY few holsters available. I got a bandolier style Uncle Mike's and it does the job as expected.

If you have no intention of putting a scope on it then I guess it comes down to which looks best to you. Stainless vs blued. One other small difference is that the hunter has the orange front sight but you could always put a little paint on the front sight of the New Model Blackhawk. I did that on my sons New Model and it looks good.

Here is mine:
