Yep, I guess so. 4 degrees and the wind howling at 20MPH+ is a shock for ours, and our hunters too. Not gonna be any all day stittin' up here. I think the only hunting may be out of the window at the house, I think we're gonna be frozen in after this rain and low teens tonight. Front is moving through now, wind is howling prolly 30 mph and temp is dropping by the minute. eek

According to the weather it's 54 here and 34 and dropping in Huntsville. I didn't realize that the high for tomorrow is going to be at midnight tonight! Gonna be about 10 degrees at lunch tomorrow.

With the high winds and low temps tomorrow I wouldn't go if I was off. I think the wind is supposed to settle down for Tuesday and Wednesday and that they will move good. I don't get off work until Thursday so I'll miss it regardless.

If I were to hunt, I would get in around 7 to 7:30 and sit until mid day.

Good advice Mike. I am taking off Tues and Wed but would not hunt tomorrow even if I could take off.

Some yal might see a deer here or there. But if a deer is healthy and in good condition they will hunker down and ride this cold out. Them doe's ain't going to waste energy moving around. And if the does aint moving them Mac daddies ain't either.

Keep an eye on your dogs. (if they're outside dogs) When they get up and move to the sun, that's when the deer will get up and move.(slowly)

we used to get really cold weather all the time back in the 70's and early 80s. Back then we hunted soybean fields and it was not uncommon to see 40 or so in a field at one time. When the ground got all froze we stopped seeing anything and went to making drives. we still didn't hardly ever see anything. I was young then, old enuf now that the lounge chair and a cup of coffee is a better idea for me.

Absolute waste of time and energy in the mountains of Jackson County in my experience. I wouldn't go if somebody paid me.

Man I hate this. I have 12 hour midnights tonight. At least they are gonna roll up the lines to watch the game. Get paid to watch the game, but then get out in that cold for the next 8. Oh, we'll could be worse.
