TeBoneAU 3 point T Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 112 Mobile, AL	This is my first year hunting in Russell county. I am hunting in Ft. Mitchell off hwy 18/Oswichee RD. When does the RUT kick off? I have asked others around the area and have been given answers from December 20th to January 10th. We have some good rubs and scrapes but have not seen any chasing. Anyone in this area seeing any activity?

I would say the does that didn't get bred should be coming back in real soon! The rut in Russell county varies greatly. Closer to the river the earlier typically. Hope this helps!
