A friend of a friend will start blinking his eyes faster than normal for a human and the lie is on. It reminds me of the episode on the Andy Griffith Show where Barney Fyffe is sending the SOS with the window blinds laugh

And then the "topper".....there's a certain Lipscomb guy from the Anniston area that will tell the most impossibly believable lie in the entire universe just to top the last guy. It's embarrassing to witness.

Got a buddy that would rather climb a tree to tell a lie than lie in bed and tell the truth. The one that stands out the most was a couple of bow seasons ago. Call and said I killed a good 9 point yesterday evening but I didn't find him until this morning and yotes had eaten every thing except for the horns. So I see him like 2 wks later and he has some horns in the back of the truck. I say let me see them. You can tell they are like a few years old. He says, that's the 9 I killed a few wks ago. What he had forgot is that I helped them drag that deer out of a hellva holler about 5 years ago. He's a good hunter but he just has to try and out do al of his friends.

Dang, is is name Dale "Doc" Campbell?

He told me, and everybody at work, that he killed a Rattle snake so big that it about flopped his S-10 when he ran over it. Then he broke out his .40 cal and put 9 rounds in him, after which the snake charged him so he just reached into truck bed and grabbed a Double axe and chopped away.
Said it took about 10 minutes to hack through that monster. Then he said it had 56 rattles and 2 buttons!! LOL lol

On the opposite side, it makes you wonder how a low-paying state paid employee has rooms full of mounts from all over the world. A little back-scratchin maybe?

Best comment I've ever heard about one of those guys:

"I wouldn't necessarily call him a liar, he just handles the truth kinda rough"

I worked with a guy that regardless of the situation, always had a story. Most of stories were so outrageous that anyone with good sense could see right through them.

Here's an example of one of his stories that I was witness to - he tells one of our suppliers that he just bought a new Harley Davidson (of some variety - went into great detail about the color, style, accessories,...etc.) and that he and his wife were going to start riding on the weekends. A few weeks later the guy comes by the office and asks him how he likes the Harley, and he replies, "What Harley - I didn't buy a Harley."

He basically said, he liked to see the look on people's face.

Kinda crazy just to think about it.

Are you serious? You admit you have 'buddies' that take 600 yard shots?

unless you are special forces and have legal arms and training to take that shot....well... I refuse any shot over 175 even though I could drop it at 250.... and have not made a shot over 100 yrds in several years..
