Folks,
I got to tell you I am digging this site. The bad thing is, I have to wait till next deer season to hunt. I'm deployed to Kuwait/Afghanistan till sometime next summer, but seeing all y'all taking it to the four legged types out there just makes me smile. I cannot wait to get back to it next year! Just need to find a place to go (spent most of my time last year in Geneva SF and Ft. Rucker) that has a good population.

Flatiron, is it down to about 100 in Kuwait yet? Should be nice and balmy there by now. When I went through last month, it was around 120-130 degrees during the day.

Thank you for you service to our country . We honor those who put their lives on the line so all of us may be free. God bless u all . My father is a 5 Purple Heart recipient from Vietnam. Luckily I still have him here to hunt with. I know he's in pain on a daily basis but we hunt together as much as possible . We shot doves yesterday . He has a new chocolate lab named Leroy. You guys are a great bunch, and I appreciate the offers, and may take you up on them next year. The weather here has finally turned cooler: daytime highs are only in the mid 90s. As long as the wind isn't coming from the south, it's a dry heat. When the humidity does come in from the south (like today) it's just miserable! But at least we have the mud rains to look forward to in a month or so! Thanks again for the great outpouring of support! By the way, if anyone has any old hunting magazines taking up space, let me know and I'll give you the address here to donate them. Several of my troopers here like to hunt as well, and I know I could find a good home for them.
