I like hornady interbonds 150gr or federal fusions in 165
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Bout any thing 150-165 grain will do the job. I like Hornady 150 gr SSTs.

Whatever your rifle consistently shoots great groups with. If you're not confident with the combination of your and your gun's combined ability you may as well shoot blanks.

I went to three outdoor stores today and apparently it will be what ever ammo you can find. Dang shelves are still empty.

I've never met a .308 that didn't like the 165's and 168's. .308's and 168's are a match made in heaven! I like the 168 BTHP Match or Federal 165 BTSP Tactical...

DO NOT use a Ballistic Tip in a .308 unless gigantic holes all the way thru your deer don't bother you. If you don't want that, use one of the standard moose bullets already recommended so that you will get a small hole all the way thru the deer.

I shoot 165gr fusions in my bolt action. Gonna try some 150gr coreloks in me 308 pump. Couldn't find the fusions so I bought 5 boxes of coreloks. I went to academy yesterday and they had all kinds of fusions on the shelf. Picked up a couple boxes. If coreloks don't work out I will shoot fusions in both guns and sell coreloks to my buddy.

>>>yep can't understand why I keep shooting ballistics when they make such explosive holes that I'm getting rusty on my tracking skills...Umm cause they a'nt any tracking...lol<<< Yep. To lots of folks, following the blood trail is an essential part of the hunt. NBTs at .308/30-06 velocity remove that aspect. People feel cheated when the deer is DRT.

I'm gonna post up some ballistic pics from a 243 and 7-08 this year for the un-believers too. My bro has stack up deer with a 95 gr ballistic tip for years. Now he shoots 25-06 115 gr ballistic tips. Guess he got bored with his 243 idk.

My vote is 165 Sierra Game King. Worth a try. I shoot a lot of Nosler ballistic tips in other calibers and they shoot great. My .308 just likes the Game Kings...
