I am wanting to have a metal roof put on my house.It is a simple double wide .60ft long by 28ft wide.I had it built with simple slant roof on thr front and back .Kinda like a ranch style home .What is a ball park figure on what it should cost me to have a metal roof put on.I hate to say it but I trust yalls opinion more than close friends and family.lol One thing for sure I always get good advise on here.Thanks in advance for the help.

When I did mine last august it cost me around $2100 in materials (36x42) and a case of beer for labor. I doubt you find anyone that will do it for that though. I think my friend that helped said they usually Charge about what the material cost for labor. Where are you located? If close enough he may give you a real good price.

Just 2 straight runs? no valley's where a porch ties on or anything? If you are gonna do it yourself, the materials will probably be in the $2000.00-$2200.00 neighborhood.
Dont forget the powerhead, plumbing vents, fart fans, furnace vent, etc. On most mobile homes, they will all be on one side. I recommend a fresh layer of felt paper too.
They likely used something that looks like plain brown paper with an extremely thin (sprayed on) layer of tar between the brown paper layers at the manufacturing facility.
I bought mine from Nichols metals in the Boaz/Albertville industrial park last April.

Typical price for 26 gauge corrugated with trim, ridge vent, boots for vents (includes all materials, labor, taxes, permits, overhead and profit) is $8,545.72 in the Birmingham market. This is for two straight runs without any valleys or porch tie ins.
If you are removing the current roof:
Tear off shingles and haul off: $751.08 Labor (plus OH & P)
New 15lb felt underlayment: $315 materials and labor (plus OH & P)
You can probably get a much better deal than that.
DIY:
Materials = $3,237.40 (roofing, trim, ridge vent, screws, boots)
Tear off DIY: Dump fees
New Felt underlayment DIY: $105 materials only.
DO NOT USE ICE & WATER SHIELD if your attic area is not properly and WELL ventilated. Internal vapor drive can and will cause moisture issues on your roof sheathing and internally within the home when using an ice and water shield in an area that is not properly ventilated.

Can't give you an estimate, but I will say I love the metal roof on my house. Has saved us a ton in electric bills.

I need a roof done also and was wanting to go with metal instead of shingles...Id much rather have the metal for longevity and to gain some insulation up under it. But I have noticed more and more painted metal roofs that have faded and now look awful.
Most of them are in the 10-15 yr old range, and 10 yrs is about my time frame for selling the current house I own and buying another and I don't want a chalky faded roof when I go to sell so Im still on the fence about if Im going back shingles or metal. .

If you lived around Huntsville it would cost you $6216.00 using Fabrel factory 26ga. metal. Trim, screws, underlayment, and tight cut vent stacks NO RUBBER BOOTS with warranty. (American Workers) The illegals havent figured out the metal cuts yet. Just dont let someone quote you in squares, If they do they are not METAL roofers. Metal is not sold in squares.

I hate to market on forums like this. We have a metal roof supply shop here in mobile. Daniels metal roofing supply co. We just supply but have a list of contractors for you to call for estimates. We only run 26 ga yea it's more but it's a better product. We have a 21' brake to make your trim in less pieces. Less pieces equals a clean looker and less chances for leak. You or anyone can pm I will get whatever information you need.

I install roofs for weather guard when I dOnt have my own roofs going. Expect to pay 3x the rate for the same work.

Before I did WG Id go with the 50 year warranted Timber line shingles. Me and Dad did his house in them last year and man they are nice. Never handled a shingle that heavy duty before. They look awesome too, it really made the house.
