Killed a Copperhead in my friends back yard last night! They live in Montgomery over by Gunter, and no where near the woods, houses all around them... it was about 18-20 inches long. I have a picture of it on my phone but can't figure out how to post it..

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I am almost positive (while I don't want to be) that I will have other oportunities to kill others this year.. first time in almost 3 years I have seen a snake in this yard.. That skin was to messed up to try and skin out. besides I think my friend would have been ill had I started to skin the snake out.
I think the reason why we saw it was due to the neighbor finally mowing his grass (which is a rare occasion) and ran it out of his territory.

I live in the middle of town and we had one in the back yard that bite our dog. Little boy down the street reached into the bushes to get a baseball last summer and got bite on the hand. They are everywhere.

How many of y'all who see copperheads find them around the house in flower beds with pine straw?

Years ago, my neighbor reached up into a hanging flower planter to check the soil. Got him a handful of Copperhead. Didn't bite him though.

In my moms garage, coiled up in my sons rechargeable electric 4-wheel. Lying next to the battery. He's in a jar full of alcohol in the man cave now.

UPDATE!!! Killed 3 more in the past week.. Two last night! One in the driveway and another in a "new" expanded flowerbed where we killed copperhead #2 last Friday night!!! If it wasn't going to flood over the next three days I would put out some "snake away and see if that will keep the d@MN things in the neighbors yard... they don't really take care of thier yard and th eleaves are piled to the heavens.. that has to be thier bedding area.. what do I tell the neighbors???

I've killed two in my yard in the past month I live out in the woods and they both were coming out from under my shed. First one my wife shot with a 12 ga, and the second one caught a shovel to the neck.

We don't have pine straw but do have azaleas and mulch and iris that create a dry bed, and have neighbors with flower beds with pine straw. I'm always on the lookout for snakes in the beds.
Friend of mine reached up a couple of years ago into a bush to get his cat and got drilled by a rattlesnake. Stupid cats.
