I have 1 opening in our Bow Only Club, 6 guys total in the group. We are not an outfitter. We lease 680 acres and have permission to hunt another 240, 920 total. We only lease early bow season so our dates are slated for Oct 2-6 and Nov 1-11. We choose to hunt only these dates to keep pressure down and make it easier for the group dynamics. Hunts include bunkhouse for all hunts and dinner each night on the Nov hunt. Email me at duckchr@gmail.com if interested, Serious inquiries only, price $1200 per man. Proven trophy potential!. We have 9 farms total, 7 of our farms are in Adams County, 2 are right across the line in Hancock. Each member has first right of refusal each year, so you're in until you want out. Our group has harvested 8 P&Y and 1 B&C in 5 years. We only shoot 130 or better. All of our farms are bordered by or near top notch outfitters. Can't beat the price for the quality of land!

A 5 day hunt with the outfitter is $3500. Ours is 16 days for $1200 that includes bunkhouse. For Adams county that's far from steep. $1200 will lease you @ 40 acres in this area, then you tack on a couple hundred more for hotel.

To each his own- but I'll take West Central Illinois for 2 weeks over anything in Bama for a full season. Even if it is free.

I've hunted with Chris every year since 1992 in AL, GA, IL, KY, MN, & WI. Top notch guy. Some of best hunting seasons ever. If my hunting funds were better I'd be all over this.

After this post last year we picked up 4 more farms. Now have 13 bow farms that total 1400 acres- 5 of which we now have gun rights on!
I am taking 2 new members for 2014.

No one hunts the land while we aren't there- zero pressure from Oct 5-Nov 1.
We split the first 2 weeks of November into 2 groups to keep lease cost down.
Been doing this for 6 years and it works great. This is the first year of gun hunting.
In reality- a normal guy can only make a few trips up anyway. So we started to use that to our advantage with 2 groups.

The way I read it. 1200 was last year and this year is 1400. My question is since there's two groups does that mean 8 men in each group or 4 men in each group. And how you pick who hunts first week?

Correct and correct!
This year is $1400.
We added more land and gun rights on 5 farms.
The first group has been the same for years. They are six in that group and we hunt first week of Nov. because that's all our work schedule will allow.
The second group will have five hunters- this year they get from Nov 12 on... Including gun on the 5 gun lease farms. They are welcome to hunt as much as they want from Nov 12 on.
