Thought i forgot to turn my flash on my game cam. but its on and its not going off. had 83 pics in last four days and all are pitch black. what causes this to happen? my flash just kick the bucket or what? was working fine up until feb 1st

Moultrie. And yes is set on auto. Takes daytime pics fine. Night pics are pitch black. I tried to turn flash on, but it only had two settings, auto and off

flash is dead . the flash on my D50 didn't last long

Its one thing after another i guess. So theres no fixin it? Thought about breakin the cam down and tryin to fix it? Im poor lol dont got money for new one

Is all there cams a piece of junk? If so i wont be buyin one in future. This cam is 3 yr old but been in my buddies bed room for 2 yrs and was barely used. I got it as a hand- me -down so to speak. How long do cams usually last before they kick the bucket and you have to replace them ?

i've done the search , you can find the flash for them but it might be the compasator (sp) thats bad. don't seem like they be that hard to fix .

What is a compasator(sp)?

Have you tried another set of batteries? I've read a lot of people say that if the batteries get low it will take pics during the day but doesn't have enough juice to fire the flash. Just a thought.

try the batteries. If not contact moultrie. I have 6 of their cameras including two of the OLD big black ones. They have fixed any problems Ive ever had with any of them, usually for free.

Moultrie cams are great and their customer service is as well. Just call and talk with them.

I have not checked batteries. assumed they were fine cuz cam was still taking pics. i will check. Your old big black ones still working outdoorobsession? have you ever had problems with your flash before?

I used a d50 for about 5 years and she was still goin strong till I left the batteries in it over summer and they busted.Got another moultrie infrared.Ive always had good luck with moultrie but yes if the batteries get low the flash will not work.

Call and talk to Amanda, she will hook u up. Try a new set of batteries. Once they get down to 50% ish, they can do some weird things

I'm never buying moultrie products again every product I've bought is junk. There customer service is awful took me two weeks to get them on the phone and i waited on hold for over two hours when I finally got hold of them Bought new camera that would not take picture and they said that nothing was wrong with it and they wouldn't replace it I drove to Alabaster the second time I talked to them because they will not ever answer their phone

I returned a M80 game camera to Moultrie back in July and less than 10 business days later they sent me a brand new M80XT. The M80XT worked great until the last week of season when it started taking 1 photo and powering off. I called them yesterday (they answered on 1st ring) and they gave me all the information that I needed to make return process easier.

I have returned 3 cameras (still covered by 12 month warranty) to Moultrie over the past 5 years and they have sent me a brand new replacement camera each time.

I give Moultrie Customer Service today......next week may be a different story

Try deleting everything off of the SD card. If it has files on it from any other device it may affect it. On mine I copy everything to the pc then delete them and I had the same flash problem as you. After starting this it is rare to get a black picture.
