Our place looks like an orphanage with fawns running rampant.Has the liberal doe harvest taken its toll on us or am I just overreacting.I know that the fawns are run off at breeding time but it has been this way since the second week of gun season.Another factor I'd like to add is upwards of 20 shots fired every day on weekends in years past to maybe 5 now.I've hunted hard since Christmas and have seen only a hand full of mature does in places where I usually see a 3-5 on every sit.Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have seen more fawns by thereselves this year than I ever have probably more than any two years combined. Not just during the rut before during and after. Not sure why. They just wonder around like there lost. I just figured someone had already killed mommy. I was just telling someone this cpl days ago.

The pressure is awful this year on Maxwell. I'm seeing more hunters than deer. You can hear or see an ATV running at all times of the day. Some of the roads that aren't supposed to have any vehicles on them look like highways from ATV/UTV tracks. That's why we aren't seeing the deer.

Yes only seen a handful of does all year. As the crow flies im bout ten miles from you. I havnt seen a doe in the daytime since first week of january(small bucks runnin em around) seen a couple different fawns in december and each one was by thereself. but i see little scrub bucks everytime i sit in the woods. never seen a real good buck while hunting this year yet tho
