I will be leaving for Christian County Thursday for 5 or 6 days. Sounds like the rut is on if you go into the KY deer forum. Good luck to you boys.

Chris
Brady just got back from Higginson Henry and said it was a rough trip. We hunted Ballard Co. in Sept., the ice storm has changed KY for the worse IMO.

Hey Jeremy, yeah it has been rough for us to. Weather is warm saw some young bucks and one 125 class buck but couldnt get a shot on it. One guy with us shot a 135 11 point Saturday morning. The icestorm has definately messed the woods up making it hard to get walk around.

I 've been here on my place for 15 days in western Kentucky. I think 60% of the deer starved to death. The Buck to doe ratio is a lots better though. I had my chance at a huge 10 point , but the doe with him saw me in the tree and he moved off in the thick stuff. I see many 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year bucks. The warm weather has slowed the rut some. good luck and hope for cold weather.

just got back from a trip to some land that i own in central Ky....to dang hot!!! so some movement early saturday, thats it. saw tons of rubs and scrapes, but it seems most of the rutting action is going on at night. shot a 3 yr old spike though. his horns were actually growing down, over his eyes, had to get him out of the gene pool. going back up there as soon as the weather turns cold!
