i had a 8 pt come in and check a scrape at bout 5:45. broadside i shot. my arrow looked like it went right under him. i grunted twice. a huge buck appeared about 60 yds out with a small fork horn. my buck came back and circled me but never gave me another shot. i left and went back at around 10 pm and found a few small specs of blood,only a little blood and hair on my arrow. i looked for about 3 1/2 hrs this morning with a buddy and 3 dogs. no more blood or deer. do u think i did all i could do to try and recover my buck?

What color hair? Course white hair?

most of the hair was white with a brown tip

You probably hit low and may be okay on just a nick. If the buck was definitely the one you shot at and it came back, I'm surprised. But strange things happen.
