Opening week of bow season and the Tombigbee and Black Warrior rivers are out of their banks! I figured we would be flooded out of our place and I was right. I got up this evening (working nights) and went to the club and can only hunt the first 3 areas on our club due to the water being about 8 ft. over the road. Still felt good to be in a tree this evening with the bow in hand! Did not see a deer, maybe I can get to some of my honey holes first of the week! Good luck to all!

Quit whining. The flood waters probably spared you the embarassment of shooting over a does back anyway.  Don't worry I'm gonna get you up a tree on some land where the river doesn't flood every time a goat pisses off a clay bank in Greene County.

Man I don't get to hunt around where you do , but I do in arkansas on the white river and when it floods it is awesome hunting if you can find em.
If you get to thinkin' you're a person of influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

I hunted right next to the river in Greene County, and it was up and rolling. I didn't see any deer either. Saw a bunch on the side of the road on the way back though.

I know where the deer are when the river is up, but I can't get to them. Water is a cross the main road. I do not have a boat over there right now. Maybe Tuesday it will be down enough to cross!
