Barbour Co. WMA is a good place to hunt if you don't mind antler restrictions. I don't think I would try to bowhunt on the days of the gun deer hunts though, gets very crowded then and there is a lot of idiots in the woods! We used to camp there every year during bow season for a week back in the 70's & 80's and didn't see a lot of hunters then. Some good bucks are coming of Barbour now too since the antler restrictions have been in place for a few years now.

They are more strick than state rules. It's bow hunting only.

Chilatchee Creek is my favorite campground, I've never hunted there, but I've walked all the trails on the place.

Whens the best time to scout these three areas: Chilatchee Creek, Eufaula, and Barbour WMA's?

Do the campgrounds have hot showers? I can go to the bathroom in the woods, but I can't sleep or hunt dirty.
