I've never had it prepared bad. However, I can NEVER eat it two days in a row. Or even twice in a week.

I love link but not crazy about Connecah. I prefer a brand sold at Sams made by Cavenaugh. I prefer the spicy variety. Sorry for the hijack, but give Cavenaugh a try ! I just had some in a can of pork and beans, green, onions and bbq sauce.

Try it as an appetizer: ritz cracker, slice of cheddar, small piece of conecuh, and top off with pepper jelly. So good, you will eat a hundred!

whenever you want some tasty conecuh but don't feel like pulling out the grill, throw it in a pan, cover halfway with water, put on med-high heat on stove, put top on and let simmer about 10 minutes. It's good this way!

Skewer - alternate - chicken, conecuh, onions, bell pepper- grill till chicken is done. Usually marinate chicken, cut up onion and bell pepper in Italian dressing or some marinade before skewing. Pull off skewer and cover with crumbled feta cheese. Conecuh is the best. Always stop at their plant in Evergreen on the way back from Gulf shores each year.

Grilled and with nothing else, other than occasionally some spicy mustard.
It's too good to screw up with ketchup, mayo or anything else. Kinda like mixing good bourbon with soda ... some things just shouldn't be done.
Tossing in a pot of pintos or collards does sound worth a try, though.

I've had it with different things in it, but this is what I do. It's corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, shrimp, and sausage. I have also had it with rutabagas and onions in it, but I usually stick to corn and potatoes On a fish cooker in a large stock pot, or turkey frying pot fill half way with water. Bring water and crab boil to a rolling boil. Add potatoes and cook about 15 minutes, then add corn. When the corn and potatoes are close to being done add the sausage, cut into 1" long pieces. No more than 5 minutes before being ready to eat, add the shrimp. Cover a picnic table with newspaper, pour the contents of the stock pot onto the table as soon as the shrimp meat turns white.

All their Sausage is fabulous. I buy their Chicken and Pork seasoning by the case, I give it away to out of town guests. It is all I use of chicken, just the right spice a little goes along way.
