Guys, After 11 years in government contracting I have decided to take the plunge. I am launching my own inshore charter service on the Emerald Coast. I would love to advertise here on aldeer and hook up with some of my brothers. I have a preliminary website set up and am just learning how to use Rapidweaver on the iMac. Keep on eye out on www.missadventuredestin.com as we set up. I am looking at running a Yellowfin 24 Bay. It is a hell of a boat, and I am getting my 6 pack captains license in August. This has been my dream since I was little and visiting my cousins who live in Shalimar. One is a US Marshall and runs an inshore charter on the side. Keep me in mind for next year if you are interested in going after some big fish. Wish me luck, and let me know how to advertise on aldeer. I can't wait to meet y'all. Also, I want to know how to get involved in the make a wish and the similar organization for outdoor adventures. It scares the crap out of me making this type of life changing decision, but I know I can offer an amazing experience on the water. I also intend to offer now fishing, night trips, and can get you tangling with some big toothy fish. Best of luck to all, and if an aldeer member wants to book, I will come up with a special rate that will also benefit the aldeer community. Alan

Good luck Allen, I'll be needing that job once you get started And to prove my worth, you have a mistake that needs correcting: The 8 hour trip is all inclusive and will include license, tackle, ice, cleaning and bagging your catch, and bottled water. A 4 hour trip starts at $800, and a 15 % tip for crew is customary.

Good luck! I will look you up next year, on our annual Destin trip.

Awesome! Best of luck! You'll need to book three 8-hr trips a day to pay for that yellowfin!

Thanks Cam! Fix it as soon as I get home. I'm headed down this fall to help crew a friends boat and learn what I can. This was my retirement plan, and then it struck me... Why wait?

Sounds like a damn fine plan and you're still young enough to give it a good shot. Best of Luck to you

Hope all goes well. Will be praying for you. One day, maybe I can afford a trip like that. God bless!
