What is this starting to grow in my 3 month old centipede sod? I fertilized about 6 weeks ago with Scotts Bonus S and the centipede has exploded. Doing awesome, thick and green, and growing really good. While watering the lawn today, I noticed some of this popping up in a couple spots. Bottom line, what is it and how do I get rid of it??

Crabgrass.
Follow the runners/vines to the root and pull it up by the roots.
Not many herbicides listed for use in centipede. If you use one, use it with an abundance of caution.
Unless your yard is huge, you can get a handle on it this way.
I have seen "Pendulum" used, but seen it do damage also.

That was the answer I did not want.....but thanks for confirming.....looks I'll be weeding my new lawn tomorrow....... Be sure to put the crabgrass is a plastic bag immediately after pulling and dispose it at least across the neighbors fence.

X2 on the Crabgrass. It's some bad stuff to try and get rid of. I got crabgrass problems myself.

Celcius will take it out as well , but as shuter said, proceed with caution, centipede doesn't need an excuse to act up

How about Crab Grass in a food plot? Can you just hit it two times with Gly before it seeds and get rid of it?

Heck yes, one application of it will knock it out, be sure to mix in a surfactant or soap like dawn or joy, abt 12 oz/ 25 gallons ( once u have
it full and chemicals mixed ) and it will fry in abt 7-10 days. Best 150$ I ever spent was on a 25 gallon sprayer to go in the back of my golfcart or 4wheeler
