Guys I'm posting this for a buddy. It is also posted on ALDUCKS. Give it a read and see if we cant show this young man and his family some support. Guys there is a 14 yr old boy at our church with stage 4 lymphoma. Kills me to think about what this boy has to go through and much less doesn't get to experience on a day to day basis. I can only imagine how much of financial burden this is on his family and im looking for help for Alducks as well as others to help compensate them in this tough time. I can't say enough about how open hearted bunch of people we have on here. If we can please pull together and help raise some money for this family it would mean the world to them. They don't know i am doing this, nor do i want to be recognized in any way for doing this. it has just been laying heavy on my heart seeing him at church with every thing going on he comes in there with a smile every sunday he can make it. This morn it really sank in when he came in with no hair, and stood in front of the church and joined holding his family's hands. It is for a young boy who has lymphoma and his family doesn't have much money. All the "prizes" listed are for a raffle that you will be entered in if you donate $. All the pics teamduckdown posted are from the property he is donating a hunt on. Thanks.

Here's some info on the young man. Back in March/April he was fighting Stage 3 Lymphoma. I sure hope it hasn't metastasized since then to other organs (making it a Stage 4 treatment regimen). Do you know if it's Hodgkin's or Non-Hodgkin's? I read that St. Jude's would not accept him due to the type of cancer, which leads me to believe that he might have Hodgkin's. If so, and it's Stage 3, then he is in VERY good hands and should have a full recovery after chemotherapy. http://blog.al.com/pr-community-news/2012/03/benefit_for_leukemia_patient_1.html"Miracles for Michael," a benefit event for Michael Ables II, is scheduled for March 17 at Neighborhood Park in Spanish Trace in Saraland. Michael, a 14-year-old student at Saraland Middle School, was diagnosed Feb. 10 with Stage III lymphoma and is undergoing treatment at the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital in Mobile.
Michael is the son of Holli and Mike Ables. His grandfather, who has also been treated for cancer recently, is Buddy Ables.
Several activities will be going on during the "Miracles" fundraiser, according to one of the organizers, Lisa Bryant. There will be dinners for sale — pulled pork sandwiches with barbecued beans or chips and dessert, for example.
An Open Car Show is also on the agenda. The entry fee is $20 per car with all who register a car receiving a free lunch. Awards will be given for the top 25 and best of show. Registration will be from 8 to 11 a.m. and awards will be given at 1 p.m.
In addition, there will be a coed 1-pitch tournament with the cost to enter $150 per team. There are 50/50 raffles, silent auctions and other events. An account has been established for Michael at Wells Fargo Bank in Saraland. Donations can be made to "Miracles for Michael." The rain-out date for the fundraiser is March 31.
