Anyone hunt with 300 Blackout suppressed? I got the Ruger Gen 2 in 300 BO with a gunwerks supressor and shooting subsonics. After 100 yards it drops fast. I have it set up an inch high at 100 which makes it zero about 125 yards. How do yall set up for shooting 2-3 hundred yards or do you just don’t shoot that far?

Haven't hunted with my subsonic load, but it will be a 100 yards and in when I get a chance to.

Subs are going slower, you should expect drop at range. Similar to a slower bow.
Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

Subs weren't meant for deer.

Subs weren't meant for deer. You'd certainly want surgical shot placement with subs.

I’ve taken a pile of deer and pigs with .300 blk, mostly with supers though. The deer that I’ve killed with subs have all been basically inside of bow range.

Tried and Tried subs on pigs, two things I didn't like, they don't group well enough for me and they don't kill well even with well placed shots at medium distance, 50-75 yds

100 yards is about the maximum range of a 300 BO with subs.
I would recommend a 50 yard zero and dial from there.

I know a guy that lost deer inside of 100 with subs. They ran off and not much of a blood trail. I could’ve bought that rifle cheap if I was interested in it.

If you want to go beyond 75-100 yards with subs, you need a bigger bullet.

I use a bdc reticle on my gen 1 RAR and shoot subs and supers with it. I have a little graph inside the rear flip cap with yardage for both. I use a 25 yard zero for subs and rarely send one past 75 yards. As others said above, treat subs like you would an arrow, both in trajectory and down range penetration. I like head/neck shots on pigs and I’m comfortable shooting farther at them. My rifle groups Hornady 208s quite well.

Dead on at 50 yards is a little over 8 MOA drop at 100 yards. The good thing about subsonic trajectory is its a more linear than parabolic trajectory.

What's the preferred point of aim with a sub?
We will burn that bridge when we get there

I avoid heavy bone. Double lung on deer is ideal for me.

300 BLK in subsonic is underwhelming. Drops a lot.

Don’t hunt with subs in .300blk.
Hunting brings out the worst in people.
