Man those things are no joke. I've started the finishing on the upstairs of my creek build so the first order of business is wiring. The 250 ft roll of 14-2 romex that I paid $89.00 for last year is now $129.00. The 12-2 that was $119.00 is $179.00. The only good thing is I don't need as much as I did for the downstairs. I started running it over the weekend and I'm here to tell you, it was HOT up in those rafters.

Its going to get a lot more expensive. Wire producers are setting high marks at 5 and 6 times over the spot price of copper for their budget planning so they dont get in trouble this time next year. Data centers, solar farms, and EV's, consume obscene amounts of copper.

There was already a copper shortage before Trumps War and his tariff's, now its just a lot worse. Mining and recycling copper requires a lot of fuel, especially diesel. It also requires Sulfuric Acid which because of the war is now at critically low global levels. China has stopped exporting sulfuric acid because of it. I bought up about 2000' of 14-2 Romex before the tariffs cause I figured it would be going high just on the rate of what I figured it would be then. Now I feel like I'm sitting on a major investment fund.

I’ve bought tons of it at $14.95 a roll. Would have probably made more money if I had stored it instead of installing it

Yeah it’s up but what u gonna do? Buy it, install it before the sheetrock guys are called, then complain about it to you guys on here........at least that's what I did.
