Figured I'd check here first. Evidently I have bad batteries. Fast flashing yellow charging light. I've checked water levels, cleanedconnections& reset charger and after about 10 minutes goes from steady to fast. Id like to go lithium but its pricey.

Lithium conversion is cheaper than a new set of Trojan batteries. I got a 2015 Club Car Precedent 48v I’m gonna convert when I get time.

I knew an old man years ago who used marine or 18 wheeler batteries can't remember which.He only used about half as many batteries, said never had a problem and lasted as long or longer.

I've done it on my two carts and the run time is amazing.

Is this all you will need to convert the cart to Lithium? Does this conversion eliminate the need for multiple batteries and require only one lithium? I don’t know anything about converting one so all the insight you can provide will be appreciated! One of my carts needs batteries right now.

Yes, all you need is the battery and a flat spot to mount it. This can be as simple as a piece of plywood bolted to your existing battery tray, or you can fabricate a dry box and close in the compartment under the seat and gain some storage. The lcd screen is optional, you can use an app on your phone instead or have both. It's very convenient, but not necessary to mount the charger inside the cart, if so you will most likely want to install a 110volt plug in like for the battery charger on a boat. If you have 12v accessories and they are currently running off of one or two of the individual lead acid batteries, you will either have to get a 48v to 12v converter, or put in a seperate 12v battery for them. If it's just lights and maybe a radio the converter is great. If it's a winch and big lights, stereo with amps and subs, etc then you will want a seperate 12v battery. If your current setup doesn't split off a battery or two to run the 12v then you probably already have a converter. It can be as simple or as complex as you want. Take lots of pictures before you disassemble anything and if not sure, ask.

As far as the linked battery on Amazon, yes it is 1 48v battery. I used the same battery for my ezgo with a simple install it took about 30 minutes. I used the same brand, but larger size in my bad boy ambush. Fairly complicated install with winch, lights, extra 12v battery, two chargers, etc. Took about 3 hours. There are other options that use individual lithium batteries that directly replace what you have, same size, and wire back exactly like they are now. These are generally much more expensive though.

Yes like Winmag said it is one battery. Just use a piece of wood for a spacer in the battery boxy and you're good to go.

When I did my hunting cart the single option battery wasn't cost effective like it is now. on that buggy i had to get the 48 to 12v reducer for might lights.

This new single battery that i just put in our house cart has a separate port to power 12v accessories from. I haven't messed with hooking anything up to it yet though.

I bought this cord connector to install in the space of the existing one on the cart so you can just plub in an extension cord to charge it.

The main thing to understand when using litiham batteries their lifecycle is based off of charging cycles. You don't want to charge it every day, just when it is needed. The instructions say for optimum life let it get to 20% before charging. Our little stock cart we use around the farm to run to the barns and such will go at least two weeks before it needs charged.
