I’ve never set foot in a dicks since I wanted to buy a summit tree stand. I went to the one in Cullman and they didn’t have a viper in stock. I asked the salesman to sale me the display. He said they couldn’t because it was assembled and they couldn’t accept liability

Actually; hunting gear was less than 10% of their revenues, and low margin. They have more problems than that.

I may buy some SPCX next year. I dont think the dust has settled from the IPO hype yet.

I love them in the middle of the Canadian arctic.

What took them so long?

They're coming like it or not. 2.6 million sq ft is just under 60 acres , lots of manufacturing plants have bigger footprints.

I don't see what the big deal is. They're now building them with their own power generating plants, with both data center and "power plants" having circulation cooling where there's not a large water source. The power and water angle is becoming a red herring .

I haven't been in a Dick's since they stopped selling guns back in 2018.

I honestly thought they had already gone out of business a while back.

It's like waking up one day and finding out that Nelson Mandell didn't actually die in prison.

I did take advantage of when they stopped selling the evil hunting stuff. I went in there as they marked down a pile of Remington steel shot and bought as many cases as I could afford at $3.00 a box. I shot ducks for a few years on those.

I honestly don't see how they have stayed in business myself. Everything in their stores is expensive, they have a lot of staff and very few customers. I won't spend money there either and have never liked their stores.

Only thing we've ever bought there are shoes/cleats...it pains me to give them money but they usually have a much better selection than Academy and their prices are actually comparable. If I had other options, I'd take them, but it seems they're always the only one in town with the shoes we need when we need them.

I honestly don't see how Academy stays in Business, their selection is garbage, and shelves are half empty! But hey usually got plenty of ammo, and at least they didn't stop selling evil black guns, they just hid 'em in safes & in the back and you had to request to see one rolleyes
