Hold up. If this is all Covid and Biden’s fault, why did diesel drop and stay stable at $3.60 for the first 6–9 months of this term? Are you saying that most of the 22% increase that wk2hnt is talking about has nothing to do with the Iran war?

Reread my last sentence

Where were we when trump was elected. It was bad enough that him being elected shifted markets back to some normalcy. The true hardcore leftist knew so and as devastated. What Trump is doing now is NOT helping in the short term.

I don’t know what was on the horizon for us and no one here does but he felt he had to go hard and fast on many fronts. All I’m seeing here is leftist progressive talking points regurgitating thru so called conservatives. Trump loves America so at least we have that. Kamala would’ve been the final nail and Obamas dream for America would’ve transitioned us into Europe. At least for the moment the shift has been stopped.

Simply look at all the corruption being exposed tied to illegals and services for them. Anyone think that was sustainable

40 trillion isn’t sustainable. That fraud you speak of, while bad and infuriating, is nothing. Somebody show me a plan to fix this 40 trillion of debt.

Biden left at 36.2 trillion in debt
It’ll never be paid off

The education system would have to be replaced. That’s where the indoctrination begins

Bessent's plan is to inflate our way out of that debt in order to save the bond market. Us little people are screwed. Between Trump's newly priced in high diesel price and buying back our our T-bills we're screwed.

I had this conversation with a financial guy yesterday. He said the same thing. Especially the folks living paycheck to paycheck…..screwed.

Had a businessman back in 06-07 mention I owe so much money the bank can’t turn down my new loan. lol
They didn’t and he landed in his feet somehow during that troubling time. He beat the odds

I guess that viewpoint is from cutting taxes actually generates more tax revenue or it takes money to make money attitude. However lack of accountability ruins that chance.

It’s funny I recall back in 07-08 when fuel prices were going thru the roof many in here kept spouting I should’ve invested in Exxon or whoever since their oil stocks were outperforming all other stocks. I kept mentioning the commoner was getting squeezed and so were my clients. I for the first time my business was being price shopped which was strange to me.

The economy crapped out and things were setback. It really hit the upper middle class hard it seemed. Their lifestyle changed for a few years but they’re back better than ever.

We are living in the best of times ever.

There’s only one way to go from here

We are so close to agreeing on many fronts, but also so far away. grin Wk2hnt was talking about a 22% increase in his inputs for this year compared to last. That is a direct result of this war with Iran.

Yup fuel cost are substantial this year
I still recall fertilizer inputs going up under Biden, hydraulic juice jumped thru the roof under Biden
We do a little farming, piddling I’d call it

Enough to realize what the cost are and I was surprised how much planting cost run

The other substantial cost are parts and labor and new equipment etc……

Hell none of the brand name mechanics will answer a question now without opening a ticket. Tried calling a JD guy about what belt we used if he had a record lol
They have a computer clock on board for when they leave the shop that runs til they get back to the shop or off duty
One guy I really liked used to work with us and worked off clock until he got new truck that used his for his time card
Old school dude full of knowledge

Trump today hurt the cattle farmers and said he was helping them. I totally agree that trump loves the country almost as as he loves himself but I just think he is somehow getting some bad advice. He remains better than any other choice but damn the inflation is going to wreck us.
