The 2 places I normally buy from are ridiculous. 4.70 and 4.99 per gallon

The crack line on diesel is the highest it’s ever I read recently. Which in turn means all goods will be higher.

I bought on road today at Buccees and it was 5.39
Most everywhere else is 5.09

So when does everyone go into hibernation mode like 2007-2008

I’ve not seen anyone slow down their lifestyle. Traffic was bad again today

$5 in 2008 is about $7.75 in today's dollars. If fuel gets that high, we may notice a difference

Anything that is farmed or built using heavy equipment, high cost of fuel will be passed along to us. Just like it always has been.

Even if you were, that few cents is about $1,500 on 5,000 gallons.

Nothing will change unless something happens and people have to live like little house on the prairie again. Until then business as usual. If that happens most of the uber everything crowd will die and which probably wouldn't be a bad thing. All the purple and pink hair folks will be gone.

Kroger, Publix, Walmart and Home Depot are seeing sales struggles, must be because of the weather.

Diesel prices have so much of an impact on everything else. Our food and everything else has to be delivered. Our off-road diesel for tractors and sprayers and everything it takes to grow a crop is up 22% this year over last year an my date to date chart. It’s going to show up sometime in the near future instead of working so hard to build data centers they need to be fast lining refineries and stop the inflation that is happening.

No doubt wk2hnt and much of what we’re dealing with is the spiraling since Covid. The Biden foreign invasion certainly hurt pricing and inflationary shortages. Under Biden chaos ensued. That’s was to break the system so they could rebuild their version.

Trump hasn’t helped but there’s a lot more to it than the simpletons response, it’s trumps fault

Biden was a 1 term senile, no one expected him to be good to the petrochemical industry which he wasn’t.

Trump campaigned on $2 gas, 87 octane at QT near my house is $3.80.
Who could have possibly guessed that getting into a 2 week war with Iran would not be helpful to consumers

Hold up. If this is all Covid and Biden’s fault, why did diesel drop and stay stable at $3.60 for the first 6–9 months of this term? Are you saying that most of the 22% increase that wk2hnt is talking about has nothing to do with the Iran war?

The Iran war definitely has caused diesel to go up. Russia and Ukraine have also. I don't understand the mindset of Putin and all of his troops he has caused to be killed. I think we can all agree that Trump is a lot better leader and he is more cautious. If we win this war at a minimal cost of life is that not better? Something is going to have to be done about Iran . For 50 years they have been needing an attitude adjustment. They now believe they can disrupt the whole worlds oil supply anytime they want to. And evidently they can. With the leverage of a nuclear missile they would even be more dangerous. Nobody knows how this conflict will play out. The only thing we can do is pray and trust the Lord. I am pretty sure he is on our side. He is not big on Islam either.
