Remington Sportsman 58 semi auto power metric manufactured between 1956-1964 12 gauge. 2 3/4” with a 25” vent rib barrel. Fixed skeet choke. Gun was passed down to father in law so he is only 2nd owner. High gloss figured Walnut. Blue engraved game scenes. Uses a manual "Dial-a-Matic" gas adjustment on the magazine cap with H (Heavy) and L (Light) power settings. Shows some signs of age but incredible for the age. Located in Fairhope $600. I will tell you alittle trick with a 58. That gun has the exact same barrel as a 870 without the gas ports. With a mic and appropriate drill bit you can have a 28” vent rib with rem choke tubes for it perty easy. I got one that belonged to my daddy that has been fixed that way years ago.58 with a dirt cheap parkarized rem choke barrel

I don't understand this post. An 870 is a pump action gun that doesn't have a gas port. Are you referring to an 1100 barrel?

aN 870 barel will fit the 58. You have to drill out the barrel where the gas ports go. I once had a jig but have done it without since. Take into account that you will be drilling at an angle. I still have a few barrels that I did for a 11-48 (forerunner to the 58) I think that i even have some with cutts compensators
