Most of y'all don't know me, get it. That being said, me and my wife are tied up in a situation with a older lady who has zero family. We've been trying to take of her to best of our ability without pressuring her so she'll still in charge. There is financial issues involved which she is convinced I'm stealing. It's clear that her mind is going. I've tried nothing but to help her, never stealing anything. She's talking completely out of head. I just for prayer for and us as well that the Lord gives us wisdom and guidance through this. Thanks in advance

Prayers Sent. If she doesn't have any family to help her it might be safer for yourself and her to go ahead and notify the authorities.

This is very sad. Paranoia is a sign of dementia. I don't know that she could be convinced otherwise. And if her affairs are not in order, it will continue to be difficult. Praying for all involved here.

The Lord spoke this to me last year - “there’s a spirit behind everything” … if HER money is involved in this, a spirit of mammon is at work … If you’re a born again believer, you have the authority to cast this down & declare a hedge of protection around you
The wisdom is to not involve her finances to help her but you & your wife’s resources - if that’s not possible engage with a church or organization that does … The spirit of mammon is demonic & will twist this around nearly every time - the love of money is the root of all evil …
A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.

Sending prayers, my friend. I know that y'all have only helped and my prayer asks that this be abundantly clear and that God will see you through.

I don't know if you have other mature adults around you that would be willing to be involved or at least be witnesses to future conversations, but I would want someone in the boat with me at this point. I also agree with what was stated earlier that you may want to alert whoever the relevant authorities are in this situation. I don't know if that's police, whoever in the state is responsible for elder care, or mental health authorities (or all 3). I would want to be the first one going down on record with a statement, not the second one. To me, being first to engage and go on the record looks the most credible. Once she picks up the phone and calls police, they have no choice but to investigate some sort of elder abuse issue.
You may also consider confiding in church leadership if you are involved in a local church. It would be another way to establish your story, plus they may have some wise consul.
I'll also say a prayer for your family. And her too.

Same happened to my wife and mother in law, trying to help our 94 old female neighbor. She thought they were stealing clothes and money. All they were doing was taking her to appointments and getting groceries and getting meds filled for her. She accused my wife of everything and told her off, and said but I still want your help. My wife cried and cried. She called the neighbor on the other side and said I just can't do it anything if that's truly how she feels. Her dog passed away now she's in a nursing home not far from us and don't know to go see her or not. Shootnmiss, I feel your pain and pray for you, just let your mind and gut tell you how to proceed.
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.
