I walked two pastures this morning checking on baby calves. I was wringing wet when I finished. Walked through my Grape and Blackberry vineyard and was drenched when I got through pruning the runners. Tomorrow I will be on the ATV checking calves for sure! I wear the Dri-Plus shirts and you can wring sweat from them this morning.

I retired and took a job in maintenance with a local school system. I am the newest employee so I get the jobs no one wants. I have been cutting grass 4 days a week beginning at 4:00 am. I have to start early to avoid all the cars and parking issues on the areas I have to cut. I am pretty well used to the heat but this morning was a hot one. Stay hydrated and take many breaks. Make sure to thank your AC each day! I am looking ahead to the first frost of the year.

My paycheck comes from working inside, but I work outside the house pretty much every evening and on the weekends. On the weekends I’ll go through a minimum of two changes of clothes and more than likely three.

Last night I was putting an access panel in the wall (inside the house) to cover a hole where I had run some data cables; I honestly didn’t know what to think after I had finished and wasn’t dripping sweat. I told my wife that I was going outside to move some landscape rocks, that it felt funny not pouring sweat.

I dread it but I'll start early and get it knocked out. Tomorrow morning I'm gonna replace struts, CV axles and ball joints in my little car. It only needs struts but while I'm in there on those other parts that have 250K miles..... Gonna be outside on concrete in the sun but have a folding canopy I'll put up and a big shop fan to move the air. My ice chest will have plenty of Propel Zero to keep the hydration going.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I need to replace two cv axles on the JD Gator and one on my wife’s car. I got a nice shop and a big ass fan but I swear I’m about ready to invest in total air conditioning of every enclosure on my property.

I'm rethinking my setup for tomorrow. I need several sheets of 3/4" OSB and I can get that, throw some down in the fully shaded area of the yard and have hard enough surface for my creeper. In the shade with big shop fan has much more appeal than in the sun under a canopy.

Our forecast says 99 for Monday. That means it’ll actually be 110-115 pluckingdegrees.

Sitting in an office building now with no A/C or water. City utilities issue occurred in the pre-dawn hours and we haven't had A/C since.

I pressure washed an old school house that was covered in vinyl Wednesday. Of course I was drenched head to socks in sweat but didn't pay attention to how hot I actually had gotten. After I unscrewed the water hose form a faucet and stood up I got really light headed like about to pass out. I went inside the building and sat under the ceiling fan and drank a gatorade. Sat there a good 30 to 45 min. Felt rough when I went to bed that night. Got to be careful in this heat. Supposed to be 102 actual temp here monday

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Heat index here at 11:30am was 118 and temp was 97. Not good temperatures to working with fiberglass and gelcoat. Luckily I finished what I wanted done before it got extremely hot.

During the rice harvest I’d drink water and electrolytes all day and only pee once maybe twice during the day. I was sweating more out than I was taking in I believe.

I don’t like summertime, but hot weather has just never bothered me.
I AM ready for fall though, and I saw a few yellow butterflies already.

At least we got some afternoon rain today to knock the heat down.
