I cant imagine anything grosser than a pair of crocs just foot sweat sitting in em just puddling. Gross I have a few pairs of sketchers but I am not sticking my feet into any shoe without socks. I’ll go barefoot just fine. But if I’m wearing a shoe I’m wearing socks.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I have flip flops for pretty much anywhere down here, barefoot shoes for kayaking on the river, sneakers for walking, hiking and working out, and boots for splitting and hauling firewood or cabin building chores...
I have nothing against the Crocs type shoes, I've just never figured out a reason to own any. So you could get rid of all those other shoes and pack light when traveling. You'd also be the coolest cat in the mountains or on the beach. Mrs. Irish may be a bit jealous of all the female attention you'd be getting though.

I learned a hard lesson. Was watering the yard and kicked my crocs off on the back deck in the full sun for half a day. I bet they shrunk a full size. Still functional but don’t really fit big like I like them.

The costume designer for Idiocracy chose Crocs because they needed cheap, futuristic-looking shoes and thought the strange foam clogs looked ridiculous enough for a dumbed-down future. The filmmakers reportedly felt safe using them because Crocs were still obscure at the time and they couldn't imagine people would actually start wearing them widely—which, ironically, happened soon afterward.
