I know some of y'all like this guy's perspective and I agree with a lot of what he says also. I thought it was a good interview but wish they would have delved deeper into the theology on some subjects. One thing I found interesting is that he said in 50 years China will have more Christians than the US.
He is about the only “mega church” pastor that doesn’t give me wolf in sheep’s clothing vibes. He seems to be genuine. Maybe he’s got us fooled but I don’t think so

My thoughts as well. He does seem to be the real deal. No mortal man is perfect, but having the heart to obey the Bible and strive to be a better follower of Jesus today vs yesterday.
I’ve seen clips of Josh and have been impressed. Watched the show but I agree…wish he would have gotten deeper as I feel Shawn needs some biblical answers. I thought the response to the question why did it have to be Jesus who died was powerful. I wish Josh had gone deeper into Shawn’s distrust of the church though I feel like he was reading the room with it and likely made the right choice at that time to go further into it. I found it really interesting about the anti Christ and Quran similarities as it makes sense.

Josh is well educated and well spoken Shawn has trust issues but he ask questions
Jesus warned us about false prophets. He intended for us to distrust. Shawn is going slow, learning, asking questions. But you can see he's following that path to Jesus. Just moving a little slower than some. Because of that he will be a rock solid warrior for Jesus in the end.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I certainly hope so, I like Shawn and his approach. We could use an army of Josh Howerton's for sure
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

Shawn has seen all sides of life and has learned many hard lessons. I listened to his telling of his life and it was as full of blood sweat and tears. He was fearless and not scared when living the drug dealing user that wasn’t scared to die and just didn’t have a care.
He met his Christian wife and slowly has something to live for.

I agree, Josh was probably trying to paint with a broad brush to reach as many people as possible. The topics they did go deeper on, like the one you mentioned about why it had to be Jesus, were right on target if you are trying to reach the masses. The videos Josh does on the Mahdi and the similarities between it and the beast system the globalists are trying to implement are very intriguing.

I remember reading on here not too long ago where someone said that talking theology with strong opinions can sometimes turn unbelievers away. I never thought about it from that perspective before, and it makes sense.
Have you noticed that MEGA church pastor Joel Osteen never preaches using the Bible?, Josh Howerton does. His pod cast are really good!!
To clarify are you saying he never quotes scripture or that he doesn’t have a physical Bible on the platform with him?
He never has a bible, Ive never heard him quote a bible. His sermons are most “feel Good” sermons… it is estimated, his net worth is over 100 million. He supposedly doesnt take a salary from his mega church but earned his wealth from book sales and speaking engagements…
