I just wear flip flops when I have to go do something, like go to the bar. They stay out on the screened porch and I just slip them on while standing up. Otherwise I'm barefoot about 90% of the time.
When I go to the gym to workout or ride my motorcycle, I think I go... Sock and a Sock then Shoe and a Shoe.
