Anybody else work last night, get a few hours sleep, and hit the woods this morning. I did and boy was I hurtin when I made it back to the truck headed home. Got home ate a bite and hit the hay for a 3 hour nap. I reckin at almost 40 now the ole body just can't take it like it use to.

I did the same thing except for the nap. Work sucks way more when you're tired.

Got up at 3:15, went to land an hour away, got in woods half hour before daylight, fell asleep until daylight. Then 7:35 4 does came up, closest at 15, no shot, best shot was 25 yards. Took shot, deer ran 40 yards looked back my way and then fell over dead. got her out of woods, then to the butcher then had to be at work at 11:30 to 8:00. did not get to much work done stared at the wall alot.

I hear ya man,at least you got one, I didn't even see one. I reckon I didn't learn my lesson cause I'm doing it again in the morning. I'm off Fri. and Sat. so maybe it won't be as bad.
