I was searching on Amazon for some new whole bean coffee to try and ran across this. How could I NOT buy it with a name like that? grin

That goat looks disturbed, but I guess I would look that way, too, if I had 3 peckers!

Great value French Roast in purple bag.

It’s better to live the “adjustable wrench” life and specialize only when necessary…Cheers !

The important thing about any whole bean coffee is not the name on the front, but the date it was roasted on the back.

No.. no I think this product right here is worth a try! I mean, you drink Monkey Naught Beer, Snake Handler, and other crazy arse names ;-) We know it's all marketing.

Standing by for product report. My expectations remain low.

Thank you ma'am! grin It will arrive tomorrow so I'll give it a spin Friday morning and give a report. It actually has very good reviews

How do they get almost double caffeine from a dark roast? Generally dark roast has less caffeine (big flavor, though),.lost in the roasting process. I’m a light roast fan for the caffeine content and this sounds counterintuitive, unless it has been fortified (or from coffee beans that start out on the dynamite end of the caffeine content scale).

**I’m still early in my figuring it out, although my wife calls me a snob, but drinks it most every day I make it. The rabbit holes are many and winding in the “good coffee” world. Definitely can nerd out as bad as you desire to in the chase for the perfect cup!!**

They add artificial caffeine oil to the final product.

I was wondering the same thing as I was aware of the loss during roasting. They have another one called "Double Dead" that has even more caffeine. Like you, I have ran those rabbit holes looking for the next "best thing". I do have to admit, the marketing got me on this one with the name and vibrantly colored artwork on the bag.
Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'm not afraid to take a chance though. I mean, I agreed to meat a large stranger for the first time, at night, under an overpass on highway 82, in Mississippi years ago just to get some new groceries from the Mississippi State cheese store. grin

Get you some of Backwards Cowboy’s coffee. It’s really good. Pretty sure he carries both beans and ground. Bunkhouse Blend and Snow on the Ranch are awesome.
