Had an apple watch for a few years, and it did what I wanted it to do, but I hated the fact that I had to charge it every single day. Switched to a Garmin Instinct 2X solar. It's much more rugged than the Apple and I only top off the charge every month or so. The most unexpected feature that I use is the flashlight feature. It is much better than the apple flashlight feature that essentially just lit the watch face white.

Impressive Gman - I only get 1-2 years out of watches. I hav no watch currently - my cheap one I got at Christmas conked out and had to charge dang Thang daily

I like a watch - quicker at giving time than pulling phone out of pocket- may look at garmin. Never considered it

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self

I have the fenix 8 pro. I started doing some hiking so I got it for the gps and maps.

As much as you are outside the Garmin instinct solar may be a good one for you.
