DCNR updated the app this week to “improve” the license storefront. I think when people previously said things like “they couldn’t make the app worse if they tried”, they took that as a challenge because it is a freaking dumpster fire.
Logged on yesterday to buy a daily permit for the PFL we were going to and it made me login about 4 different times, couldn’t find me on the first couple of attempts, then after buying the permit, it still didn’t show up in my licenses like it used to. Fortunately I had the email confirmation saved.
Buddy had bought the yearly permit a while back and it’s always showed in his licenses in the app but now it’s gone completely. So he had to go back into his deleted emails and find the confirmation.
It’s slow, it doesn’t seem to sync correctly, and half the time it simply doesn’t work. What a freaking mess. And they had the entire system offline 3 days to make these “improvements”…couldn’t even buy a license in person much less online.
They had finally put together a relatively simple, no frills interface and they had to go and screw it up

I thought I'd check it out. I had to do the update when I opened the app. Looks the same to me, still has my fishing license in my wallet on there.

One of the better things of turning 65, just need a DL to go fishing. You’d still have to have the PFL permit (in this case) or any of the various endorsements/privileges that they charge for even if you don’t have to buy a license

I checked the update. The only thing I noticed is it removed all 3 of my children from mine. I use it for gamecheck with them and it deletes them every single year. I’m about to let em have it. This game check bull crap is the most useless overly complicated game check system imaginable.
