I just bought a Denali and I've already hauled 2 bags of trash and an empty box. I don't even play golf.

Good thing this doesn't apply to me. I have an AT4, not Denali.

Yours has mountain bikes and kayaks permanently attached even though it's never left the pavement. My SLT came with a lifetime AARP membership and priority seating at Cracker Barrel dinner before 5 PM.

The problem I have always had with GM vehicles is that every one of them after a few years and a hundred thousand miles or so all seem like a bucket of bolts when you get in them, shut the doors, and drive them. GM vehicles mostly have always had really good styling (with some notable exceptions) but most of the time, the GM vehicle usually looks better than the Ford or Dodge counterpart, but something about the way things are put together or engineered, they just always seem to have more squeaks and rattles and a more flexible chassis than other cars.

One of my motorcycle buddies a couple of weeks ago, drove his GMC Canyon to Arkansas and trailered their motorcycles out there. Two of us were going to make a run to the liquor store, so he threw me the keys so I go out there to get into it shut the door, cranked the truck up and drove it, and the first thing I said to myself was, "Yep... GM."

I guess people who drive them are just used to it.

My 2018 Ram 1500 with over 100k miles is still like a bank vault when you shut the doors, the engine is like a 305 horsepower sewing machine, and with the Bilstein Shocks and the coil spring suspension it is still the best handling, best riding and best highway truck I have ever owned. Even riding down our National park Service dirt road at the cabin it is smoother and more composed than any off-road vehicle I have ever owned.

Speaking of flexible chassis. Same dirt road similar wheelbase vehicles. Boho's 4x4 Mazda CX-5 is a super stiff unit body construction (One of the stiffest chassis made outside or Stuttgart, Germany) vs my Jeep Rubicon on our dirt road? There ain't even an comparison. The Mazda just kind of glides over all the bumps, rock outcroppings, and pot holes. The chassis hardly flexes at all and this allows the very well set-up suspension take all the bumps, whereas the Jeep just kinds of crashes into every single imperfection, no matter what speed you are travelling. All that is because the Jeep is a very flexible body on frame. I know the Jeep has solid axles vs the Mazda independent suspension, but I'm just talking about the immense difference between flexible vs rigid chassis set-ups.

My Mom has 3 different Corvettes when I grew up and Dad had a Datsun 240z and a 260z. Both of the Vettes where pieces of crap to drive and the Z cars about as good of a sports car as you could get back in the 70's. Very stiff chassis on those Datsuns. Those cars were like night and day driving them.
